WEFF is excited to announce that our Call For Entries will open on 15 February 2016. We invite Australian short film makers to submit their films for consideration for the 2016 festival.
Filmmakers can enter a range of short film types including animations and music videos. The festival offers cash prizes in a number of categories including Best Community Film (judged by members of the West End community), Best Industry Film (judged by local film industry professionals), Best Animation, Best Music Video and Best Indigenous Filmmaker or Crew Member.
Submissions are made through Film Freeway with each film entry costing $25. Films that have been entered into other film competitions are allowed however films must be made by Australian filmmakers or be filmed in Australia.
PRIZES are offered for:
- Best Film – Community (Voted by West End community members who are part of the judging panel)
- Best Film Industry (Voted by Film Industry representatives who are part of the judging panel)
- Best Film by a Young Filmmaker (Films made by young people under 15 years of age)
- Best Animation
- Indigenous Filmmaker / Crew member Award
- Best Music Video
